Wugang Plate helps the manufacturing of the first self-developed Type B LNG fuel tank in China

Recently, Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Group Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Corporation, and China Shipbuilding Industry Trading Co., Ltd., jointly built for Mediterranean Shipping (MSC), equipped with the world's largest B-type liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuel tank, 16,000TEU container ship "Maria Cristina" was delivered to customers. The ship is equipped with the world's largest 13,000 cubic meters of B-type LNG fuel tank, which is the first time in China to realize the independent development of the whole process of B-type LNG fuel tank, filling the domestic technology gap, and more than 6,000 tons of special steel plates supplied by Wugang Company of HBIS Group are used for the manufacture of B-type LNG fuel tank.

The ship is the first ship of 8 series of LNG dual-fuel powered 16,000TEU container ships of the Mediterranean Shipping undertaken by Dalian Shipbuilding, which adopts the design concept of "safety, economy and environmental protection" to meet the latest environmental protection emission standards, with a total length of about 366 meters, a width of 51 meters and a depth of 30.2 meters. Its completion will further consolidate Dalian Shipbuilding's leading position in the field of a new generation of green and environmentally friendly ships.
