Recently, the world's first stacked 7,500 cubic meter LNG amphora bunker first and second sets (T154/155) were successfully loaded and shipped in Nantong, and will be installed on 11,500 TEU container ships in the future. In the fuel tank manufacturing process, 1,357 tons of high-performance 9Ni steel plate produced by Wugang Company of HBIS Group is exclusively used for the manufacture of this fuel tank.

9Ni steel is recognized by the industry as a steel grade with high technical content and difficult production, because it still has good impact performance and strong toughness ratio in the environment of -196 °C, and has excellent processing and use performance, it is known as the "crown jewel of steel plate", and is often used in LNG storage tank manufacturing. Wugang Company has taken measures such as strictly controlling the process details of the smelting process and stabilizing the final rolling temperature of the steel plate to ensure the continuous improvement of the quality of 9Ni steel products. At present, the 9Ni steel developed and produced by Wugang has successfully passed the certification of 9 international mainstream classification societies such as NK and KR.
The fuel tank of the project adopts a stacked amphora design. Compared with the traditional horizontal amphora, the stacked amphora design can maximize the use of the existing space, increase the space utilization rate by at least 40%, and greatly improve the operation economy of the whole ship
