Wugang high-end structural steel helps 1.155GW offshore wind power project in Oceania

Recently, Wugang Co., Ltd. of HBIS Group successfully won the bid for the offshore wind power project of a large energy company in the world in Oceania, and more than 5,000 tons of "Wugang brand" high-end structural steel plates will be used for the production of pipe piles, a key part of the project.

In response to the tight delivery time of the project and the need for rapid production of the contract, Wugang launched the EVI service model. After learning the information of the project, Wugang sales staff frequently contacted a Singapore company responsible for the design and manufacturing of the wind power project in the form of e-mail, so that the company highly recognized Wugang's supply performance in the field of wind power steel through the CTOD report submitted by Wugang. In view of the maximum thickness of the steel used in the project of 100mm, and the need to have excellent welding performance, seawater corrosion resistance, harsh environment resistance and other requirements, Wugang innovated and optimized the production process control scheme and "tailored" the production process plan for customers, which fully demonstrated the brand advantages and thoughtful service of Wugang. In the end, the customer affirmed the brand strength and supply capacity of Wugang, and Wugang successfully won the bid for the key plate supply contract required for the project.

It is reported that the offshore wind power project will use solid pile technology, with a total installed capacity of 1.155GW.
