SA553TypeI. American standard low-temperature steel plate fixed rolling, SA553TypeI. corresponding m

SA553TypeI is the American standard low-temperature steel plate, SA553 steel plate is divided into three models: SA553TypeI., SA553TypeII., SA553TypeIII., the difference between the three models is the difference in the chemical composition Ni content. SA553 Steel Plate Impact Temperature: SA553Type I and SA553Type III should be subjected to a -195°C impact test, and SA553TypeII should be subjected to a -170°C impact test.

SA553TypeI. Steel Plate Fixed Rolling: Wugang Xiangyang

is suitable for welding 9% nickel alloy steel plate in the state of water quenching and tempering for pressure vessels.

SA553M Type I steel plate implementation standard: SA-553/SA-553M (exactly equivalent to ASTM standard A553/A553M-15)

SA553 heat treatment process

3.1 Heat treatment procedure: The steel plate should be heated to 1475~1700°F (800~925°C), and kept under heat preservation at this temperature for a long enough time to obtain a uniform temperature throughout the thickness of the steel plate, and then put into water for quenching. It is then tempered in the range of 1050~1175°F (565~635°C) and kept warm at this temperature for at least 30min/in. (1.2min/mm) wall thickness, but not less than 15min, and cooling or water quenching in air, cooling rate not less than 300°F/h (165°C) below.

3.1.2 Quenching and hardening: The steel plate should be heated to 1475~1700°F (800~925°C), and kept under heat preservation at this temperature for a long enough time to obtain a uniform temperature throughout the thickness of the steel plate, and then put into a liquid medium for quenching.

3.1.3 Tempering: The steel plate is tempered in the range of 1050~1175°F (565~635°C) and kept warm at this temperature for at least 30min/in. (1.2min/mm〉wall thickness, but not less than 15min, and cooled or quenched in air, cooling rate not less than 300°F/h (165°C) below.

3.1.4 Before tempering treatment, the steel plate can be subjected to an intermediate heat treatment, that is, the steel plate can be heated to 1165~1290 °F (630~700 °C °C) for type I, and 1185~1310 °F (640~710 °C) temperature range for type II.l, and keep warm at least 1h/in at this temperature. (2.4min/mm) wall thickness, but not less than 15min; Then if the thickness is greater than 5/8in. (16mm) of the steel plate, the water quenching is less than 300°F (150°C) if the thickness is not more than 5/8in. (16mm) of steel plates, air cooled or water quenched below 300°F (150°C).
