SA533GrBCL2 heat treatment: The steel plate should be heat treated, heated to a suitable temperature in the range of 1550-1800 °F (845-980 °C), holding for a long enough time to make the temperature uniform over the entire thickness of the plate, and then quenched in water. This is followed by tempering at a suitable temperature to produce the specified performance, but the tempering temperature should not be lower than 1100°F (595°C) and the holding time should be at least 1/2h/in. (1.2min/mm) thickness, but not less than 1/2h.
