such as the United States, Norway, Japan, Germany, France, etc., its classification society certification is as follows:
CCS USA, ABS, GERMANY, GL, FRANCE, BV, NORWEGIAN DNV, JAPAN, NK, UK, LR, Italy, RINA, South Korea, KR (Norway DNV merged with Germany: VL)
E100 range
101 This requirement is a supplement to the steel given in articles A to D with a thickness greater than or equal to 15 mm and with the specified minimum elongation in the direction of full thickness (i.e., in the Z direction). See Figure 1. 102 Steels with "Z" properties are recommended for use on structures that are subjected to strain in the direction of thickness to reduce the likelihood of lamellar tears that occur during the manufacturing process. Two types of steel with "Z" properties are specified, Z25 steel for hull construction when working in normal conditions and Z35 steel for hull structure when working in harsher conditions.
Thickness properties are described by the value of its specified area shrinkage during a tensile test in the direction of thickness.
