Effect of different line energy input on the microstructure and low-temperature impact performance of EH420 steel welding heat affected zone. EH420 test steel plate was prepared by vacuum induction furnace and TMCP rolling process, welding thermal simulation test was carried out by Gleeble-3800 dynamic thermal simulation testing machine, mechanical properties of base metal and post-weld simulated samples were tested by tensile testing machine and impact testing machine, and metallographic observation of samples was carried out by optical microscope. The results show that the steel plate prepared by Ti-Mg composite deoxidation oxide metallurgy technology and TMCP rolling process has good large-line energy welding performance. Ti-Mg-0 particles promote the formation of a large number of needle-like ferrite in the welding heat-affected zone, thereby improving its low-temperature impact performance. With the increase of line energy, the size of the original austenite increases, the grain boundary ferrite gradually increases, the Weissen content increases first and then decreases, the Weisserite grain size increases, and the low-temperature impact absorption work of HAZ decreases.
