A633E low-alloy high-strength plate steel

A633E is a low-alloy high-strength steel plate; The executive standard is: ASTM. It has high strength, high toughness, good welding properties and cold forming properties, as well as low cold brittle transition temperature, and if applied to large welded components, it is also required to have high fracture toughness. A633D steel plate is mainly used in bridges, ships, vehicles, boilers, high-pressure vessels, oil and gas pipelines, large steel structures and other manufacturing fields.

A633E steel plate production process:
In the refining process, argon is blown throughout the process, refining slag is added, and a large amount of slag is used for slag making to ensure that the white slag holding time is ≥ 25min, and the deoxidation control is strengthened to reduce the content of sulfur, phosphorus and non-metallic inclusions. The usage of Al line per ton of steel is ≥6m, the process and slag removal ≥ are 0.015%, the lime consumption is ≥ 15kg, and the whole refining time is ≥ 50min. When the temperature reaches or exceeds (1545±10) °C, the molten steel is transferred to the VD furnace for vacuum treatment. The vacuum degree of VD treatment process is ≤66Pa, the vacuum time is ≥ 20min, and the argon flow rate is controlled at 100L/min. By adding alloying elements such as Nb and Ni, supplemented by controlled rolling and positive heat treatment, Wugang has successfully produced A633D steel plate with a thickness of 200mm, the steel plate Ceq is controlled below 0.45%, the steel plate has excellent strength and toughness matching, and the longitudinal and transverse impact energy of -50°C is above 150J.
