1. Introduction to 5Ni steel plate5Ni steel plate is a nickel alloy steel plate with a thickness of no more than 150mm for liquefied gas storage devices.
5Ni steel is a kind of steel plate for ultra-low temperature pressure vessels, which belongs to the special heat treatment of 5% nickel alloy steel plate for pressure vessels. The steel plate has the characteristics of high strength, high toughness and excellent welding performance, and is often used in the manufacture of ultra-low temperature pressure vessels, pressure-resistant shells, heat-resistant shells and other equipment.
2. 5Ni steel plate delivery state5Ni steel plate is generally delivered in a modulated state, and with the consent of the buyer, the 5Ni steel plate with a thickness of no more than 12mm can be delivered in the state of normalizing, normalizing + tempering.
3. Heat treatment process of 5Ni steel plate 1) Quenching and hardening --- steel plate should be heated to 855-915 °C, and kept warm at this temperature at least 1h/in. (2.4min/mm) wall thickness, but not less than 15min, and then water quenched to below 150 °C.
2) Toughening treatment--- reheat the steel plate to 690-760 °C, and keep the wall thickness at least 1h/in. (2.4min/mm) at this temperature, but not less than 15min, and then water quenched to below 150 °C.
3) Reverse annealing--- reheat the above steel plate to 620-665 °C, and keep it warm at this temperature at least 1h/in. (2.4min/mm) wall thickness, but not less than 15min, and then water quenched to below 150 °C.
4. 5Ni steel plate production process5Ni steel plate is smelted by oxygen converter or electric furnace, and refined outside the furnace.

it has its shortcomings in thin plate cutting. So thick plates are generally cut with flames.
