16MnDR is a low-alloy high-strength steel plate grade commonly used in the manufacture of boilers and pressure vessels.

16mndr is a cryogenic pressure vessel steel plate. 16Mn - means that the carbon content in the steel plate is about 0.16%, D- means low temperature, and R- means pressure vessel; For example, 1.6% manganese is written as 16Mn. The maximum production thickness of this steel plate is 120mm, and the width does not exceed 4100mm.

The 16 in this grade represents a minimum yield strength of 355 MPa, while Mn, D and R represent the alloying element manganese content (Mn), good low-temperature toughness (D) and good steel cleanliness (R), respectively.
