Introduction to the grade of steel plate for 15CrMoR pressure vessel

15CrMoR is a kind of steel plate for boilers and pressure vessels, and the executive standard is GB713-2014. Grade notation: 15CrMoR. The average carbon content and alloying element letters represent R: the first letter of "Rong" in Chinese pinyin. 15CrMoR has special composition and properties, and is mainly used in pressure vessels. 15CrMoR is a steel for pressure vessels, which belongs to a medium-temperature anti-hydrogen steel, and the implementation standard should comply with the provisions of GB713. 15CrMoR steel adds alloying elements such as Cr and Mo to low carbon steel, which greatly improves the comprehensive properties of steel. For example, it has good high-temperature mechanical properties, high-temperature oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, good toughness, process performance and weldability, so it is widely used in the manufacture of petrochemical, coal conversion, nuclear power, steam turbine cylinder block, thermal power and other large-scale equipment with harsh conditions and complex corrosive medium. The corresponding grades of 15CrMoR are SA387Gr12CL2, 1Cr-0.5Mo.

This grade of steel plate has good toughness and weldability. 15CrMoR smelting method: 15CrMoR steel is smelted by oxygen converter or electric furnace, and the refining process outside the furnace should be used 4.2 The compression ratio of continuous casting billet and steel ingot is not less than 3, and the compression ratio of electroslag remelting billet is not less than 2. 15CrMoR steel plate should be ultrasonic tested according to the requirements of the buyer, and the testing method should be carried out according to JB/T4730.3 or GB/T2970.
