Cryogenic Pressure Vessel for LNG Storage Tank 06Ni9DR (9 Nickel Steel)

06Ni9DR (9%Ni) steel plate is a special cryogenic pressure vessel for LNG storage tanks, and 06Ni9DR is a -196 grade cryogenic pressure vessel steel plate. With its good low-temperature impact resistance and extremely low thermal deformation coefficient, it is widely used in LNG ships and LNG storage and transportation projects. The same series grades include 08Ni3DR (3.5 nickel), 08Ni5DR (5 nickel), and 06ni9dr (commonly known as 9 nickel steel).

of Pressure Equipment 3. 06Ni9DR Delivery Status:
The steel plate is delivered in the quenching and tempering heat treatment state of offline quenching + tempering. In order to improve the toughness of the steel, intermediate heat treatment (secondary quenching) can also be carried out, and the steel plate with a thickness of no more than 12mm can also be delivered in the state of two normalizing and tempering, and the tempering temperature of the steel plate is not less than 540

06Ni9DR cryogenic container board use: With the diversification of global energy resources, the domestic demand for LNG terminal structural materials will be very large in the future, and the development of materials with corresponding structures will become one of the important links in the adjustment of energy strategy. LNG has a temperature of -162, which requires its structural materials to have a certain strength and toughness at extremely low temperatures. At present, the main materials for ultra-low temperature are as follows: austenitic stainless steel, nickel-based alloys, aluminum alloys and 9Ni steel. Compared with austenitic stainless steel and austenitic iron-nickel alloy, 9Ni steel has lower cost, and compared with aluminum alloy, 9Ni steel has better mechanical properties, so 9Ni steel is widely used as a structural material for LNG storage and transportation equipment internationally.
